Florida continues to carry out mass deportations, prompting legal experts to question the legality of the state’s controversial ‘blueprint’.

Florida lawmakers and members of Congress have been invited to tour a controversial immigrant detention facility deep in the Everglades on Saturday, days after several Democratic legislators were denied access to the site.

U.S. Department of Justice attorneys filed a nine-page document opposing a request by environmental groups for a temporary restraining order to halt operation of the facility.

As more detainees arrive at the controversial detention center in the Everglades, NBC6 learned new information about who else may end up at the facility politicians call “Alligator Alcatraz.”

Concerns about conditions for detainees were heightened when one was rushed out of the detention center Monday in an ambulance.
