The long war between President Donald Trump and Sen. Adam Schiff erupted again Tuesday, with Trump calling Schiff "one of the lowest of the low" and "a dishonest, crooked guy."

In a farcical irony, Democratic Sen. Adam Schiff of California could face criminal prosecution for financial real-estate fraud -- something Democrats had toothlessly accused President Donald Trump of doing.

A senior administration official told The Post that a criminal case had been referred to the Justice Department.
