With the Bridget Jones franchise getting ready for another diary entry, Daniel Cleaver actor Hugh Grant teased that the fourth installment in the romantic comedy film series — titled Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy — is “extremely funny” but also emotional.

Darcy was played by Colin Firth in the earlier Bridget Jones movies. The production studio has not commented on how closely the new film will follow the storyline of its paperback

Grant also admitted that, while his character doesn't appear in the film's source material, the team behind the project were determined to involve him somehow.
