Rock hurled through windshield kills driver on highway, California cops say
A woman driving on a remote Southern California highway died when a thrown rock smashed through her windshield, highway patrol officers reported. The fatal incident took place on Highway 138 near Highway 18 west of Victorville at 12:10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8, the California Highway Patrol said in a news release.
