The CBI chargesheet filed in the RG Kar rape and murder case has detailed the circumstances, nature of injuries, cause of death and evidence available against the accused.

Times Now sources said that the FIR was registered at 23:45 hours. The victim belonged to the middle class and took admission in the general category for the PG course 2022-25. The chargesheet further revealed that victim's blood was found on Roy's jeans and shoes.

Sanjay Roy is the sole accused in the RG Kar rape and murder case, with the CBI filing a charge sheet 58 days after the crime. The charge sheet cites 128 witnesses and leaves open the possibility of additional charges.

Sanjay Roy, while speaking before a court, said he didn't know anything about the case. The CBI had earlier cited 11 pieces of evidence against him while ruling out the possibility of a gang rape.
