Maple Leafs defenceman Chris Tanev will return to Toronto on Sunday after spending the night in Philadelphia under observation, the team has announced. The defenceman was stretchered off of the ice at Xfinity Mobile Arena during Saturday’s game with a suspected second head injury in less than two weeks.

Tanev reveals that he sustained a concussion against the New Jersey Devils last week, but he appears to be all right now.
