Lee Carsley says Harry Kane will not be fit to start England's Nations League game against Greece but is hopeful the captain will be available to face Finland. Kane has sat out England training this week after suffering a leg injury for Bayern Munich at the weekend and the captain will not be in the starting XI at Wembley on Thursday night.

The interim manager of England, Lee Carsley, has confirmed they will not “take a chance” on the fitness of Harry Kane. Carsley has now revealed that Manchester City’s John Stones will lead the team out against Greece in the Nations League on Wednesday.

Due to the injury sustained in the game against Eintracht Frankfurt, Harry Kane has lost his spot in the first eleven. He has also trained individually and hasn’t trained with the team, but the coach Lee Carsley hasn’t ruled out the English Talisman from the fixture.
