Computer vision technology firm RealSense said on Friday it has completed its spinout from Intel Corp and secured $50 million in early-stage funding to accelerate expansion into the rapidly growing robotics sector.

RealSense, a computer-vision and robotics company, has spun out from Intel and raised $50 million in Series A funding, the company announced Friday.Formerly known as Intel RealSense, the company said it will use the funding to reach new markets and meet global demand for humanoid and autonomous mobile robots,

RealSense is building vision tech that helps machines like robots and drones navigate and respond to a 3D world.
