The Spurs just got a huge update on the health of Victor Wembanyama and their rotation for next season is finally coming into focus.

If you thought Victor Wembanayama was different just because of his unique playing style, think again. While there have been numerous instances of athletes switching their teams frequently, ‘Wemby’ has stood out.

It appears the San Antonio Spurs will get their most important player back for the 2025-26 season. Victor Wembanyama told L'Équipe that he has officially recovered from the blood clot in his shoulder that sidelined him for the season after playing in only 46 games.

Wembanyama, who was coming off winning ROTY, continued to display a high ceiling. He was named a reserve in the 2025 All-Star Game and considered a strong candidate for Defensive Player of the Year. Unfortunately, his sophomore campaign was cut short.

"A lot of teams that think that they could trade for Giannis have been watching this very closely," says ESPN's Brian Windhorst, mentioning San Antonio as a club that has "saved assets ... to potentially chase Giannis.
