U.S. telecom AT&T (NYSE:T) said Friday it is raising prices for its home internet plans by $5 per month, according to a notice sent to customers by email. The $5 price hike comes for a third consecutive year,

AT&T also raised prices by $5 a month in November 2024. The new hike, however, includes a reprieve for newer or lower-income customers. Those who subscribed in the last year or through the Access from AT&T program will be exempted from the hike, a company spokesperson tells The Verge.

The price of AT&T home internet plans rises by $5 a month starting in December. The company cites operational costs as the reason for this.
