The move comes less than two weeks before the Nov. 4 elections and makes Virginia the second state where Democrats have jumped into the national redistricting battle.

The redistricting battle impacting the nation has found its way to the Commonwealth, as Virginia democrats are planning to redraw U.S. House districts.

“It’s a fact that we will send one more Republican to Congress from this great state,” House Majority Leader Brenden Jones, a Columbus County Republican, said.
