Ipswich Town right-back Axel Tuanzebe is facing at least a month out after sustaining a hand injury while doing the washing up. The former Manchester United and Aston Villa defender missed Saturday’s defeat to West Ham United after cutting his thumb in what head coach Kieran McKenna described as a “very unfortunate accident”.

The 26-year-old defender has become a key player for Ipswich in their first season back in the top flight in more than two decades - but now faces a lengthy period out of action.
