Liberty Hill ISD asked voters to approve a $0.07 tax rate increase to generate $10.7 million in additional revenue following $10 million in budget cuts and deficits over the past two fiscal years.

The school district has had to cut approximately $10 million from its budget over the past couple of years due to funding constraints and a failed tax ratification election in 2024.

GEORGETOWN, Texas - A Liberty Hill ISD student was hit by a car while walking in the crosswalk. Bar W Elementary Principal Joy Hudgens said on Tuesday, Nov. 4, around 7:30 a.m., a student was hit by a car while walking in a crosswalk near campus during arrival time. The student was taken to a local hospital for their injuries.
