His full body of work was absurd – 17 2/3 innings, only two runs allowed, a 1.20 ERA, and 14 strikeouts – crowning him the 2025 World Series MVP.
The dust has barely settled on the 2025 World Series, but it's a 24/7 world so we're already looking ahead to 2026.
Following a historic collapse in 2025 that saw the New York Mets go from the best team in baseball in June to out of the playoffs by October, the team is expected to address the starting rotation, which was at least partially responsible for its shortcomings this past season.
