Government shutdown latest: Senate rejects funding bills for 7th time
The U.S. Senate rejected competing funding bills for the seventh time on Thursday, meaning that the federal government shutdown will continue, at least for now.
Top Democrat of the Senate Armed Services Committee Jack Reed (D-RI) said the NDAA "delivers key wins for service members and their family.”
The government shutdown will last at least until at least next week, as the Senate adjourned until Tuesday after another round of failed votes to reopen the government.
