Sony Group Corp. slashed the PlayStation 5’s price in Japan with a new model that’s limited to work only in the country, borrowing the idea from Nintendo Co.’s strategy with the Switch 2.

The new PlayStation-branded monitor is built for PS5 and PC, featuring high refresh rates, HDR support and a clever way to charge a controller.

The gaming giant admits lower engagement and sales for Destiny 2, leading to a major write-down ahead of Bungie's next expansion, Renegades, launching this December.
