The video service has gone dark in the U.S. on Tuesday night.
YouTube experienced a widespread outage Tuesday evening in the United States and internationally, with users reporting blank homepages and error messages across YouTube, YouTube Music, YouTube Kids and YouTube TV, before the company said it had implemented a fix.
YouTube, which is owned by Google, suffered an outage Tuesday night. When trying to access the platform via desktop and mobile, videos wouldn’t appear to load and users were met with the message, “Something went wrong. Try again.” The platform went down at around 5 p.m. PT, but as of 6:05 p.m. PT, it appeared to be partially restored.
The original YouTube experience from 2005 has been recreated using internet archives.
