New York First Deputy Mayor Sheena Wright became at least the seventh senior official in Mayor Eric Adams' administration to resign as multiple federal corruption investigations have engulfed City Hall in recent weeks.

A former New York City official was charged Tuesday with witness tampering and destroying evidence as a federal investigation led to Mayor Eric Adams’ bribery indictment.

First Deputy Mayor Sheena Wright, tipped to resign from City Hall late last week, resigned Tuesday, sources familiar with the matter said.
