Mackinac Island's city charter gives it the power to set ferry ticket rates - something the owner of the ferry companies is disputing in court.

The state ferry Lituya will soon begin 7-day-a-week ferry service between Ketchikan and Annette Bay. The vessel serves as one of the primary means of transportation between the two islands.

Ferries says it is not able to restore the Sidney service until at least 2030. That’s when it expects to receive the first of three new 144-auto hybrid electric ferries on order.
