The New York Giants selected Arizona State running back Cam Skattebo with the 105th pick in the 2025 NFL draft. After watching the first eight weeks of the 2025 season, teams are wondering how the fiery Skattebo fell all the way to the beginning of the third round.

In addition to Skattebo, the NFL also fined running back Tyrone Tracy Jr. $5,731 for "unnecessary roughness," alleging "use of the helmet" early in the first quarter. The play in question was a two-yard run on first-and-10 and, like Skattebo, did not result in a penalty on the field. For Tracy, it was his first fine of the season.
