NFL 2025 Week 9 early inactives: Joe Flacco will start for the Bengals, Trey Hendrickson out
Flacco is active despite the right shoulder injury that caused him to miss Wednesday's practice and limited him the rest of the week. Flacco was hurt on a sack in the fourth quarter of last Sunday's loss to the Jets, but he did not miss any offensive plays.
Bengals quarterback Joe Flacco was injured during the fourth quarter of the team's NFL Week 8 loss to the Jets.
CINCINNATI — The Bengals are open to trading veteran linebacker Logan Wilson, multiple league sources have confirmed. Wilson, 29, requested a trade earlier this month after rookie Barrett Carter took his place in the Bengals' starting lineup. He has 47 tackles in eight games.
The Bengals announced on Sunday that their former tight end Bob Trumpy has died at the age of 80. Trumpy was a 12th-round pick out of Utah in 1968 — the Bengals’ inaugural season — and he spent a decade playing for the Bengals. He was an AFL All-Star in his first two seasons and made two Pro Bowls after the merger between the AFL and the NFL.
“Many teams, including the Rams, 49ers, Lions, Colts and Eagles, have called the Bengals on numerous players, including LB Logan Wilson, CB Cam Taylor-Britt and, of course, DE Trey Hendrickson. For now, some teams don’t believe Cincinnati has any real interest in moving its core pieces.”
CINCINNATI — The Cincinnati Bengals may be 3-5 on the season, but they should be aggressive ahead of the 2025 NFL trade deadline. The deadline is on Tuesday, Nov. 4, just two days after Cincinnati's Week 9 matchup with Chicago.
The Chicago Bears will play the Cincinnati Bengals during Week 9 of the 2025 NFL season. The game is scheduled for Sunday, November 2, 2025, at 1 p.m. ET at Paycor Stadium. Viewers can watch the game on CBS or stream it through services like NFL+ and Fubo.
Last year, the Bengals’ defense was bad enough to get coordinator Lou Anarumo fired. This year, the Bengals’ defense is making last year’s version look like the 1985 Bears.
