Rangers coach Peter Laviolette spoke about his reasoning for sending Othmann down following practice on Sunday. While he was happy with what he saw from Othmann, for Laviolette there is just one more step that he believes the young prospect needs to take.
Rangers' Brennan Othmann: Sent to AHL Hartford
The 16th overall pick in 2021, Othmann had 21 goals and 28 assists in 67 regular-season games with AHL Hartford in 2023-24. He should get some time in the NHL this year as the Rangers regard him highly.
