Oklahoma City Thunder release injury report with Chet Holmgren out and Alex Caruso returning ahead of matchup with Sacramento Kings.

Chet Holmgren has been thriving in his third NBA season, but the Thunder big man will miss Tuesday's game against the Sacramento Kings with a back injury.

Chet Holmgren continues to improve in his third NBA season. Through four games heading into the undefeated Oklahoma City Thunder 's home matchup with the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday, Holmgren is averaging 23.0 points and 10.3 rebounds while shooting 56.9% from the floor.

The Kings' affiliate, the Stockton Kings, used the No. 29 overall pick on Jabri Abdur-Rahim. He's the son of former NBA All Star Shareef Abdur-Rahim. Shareef ended his career with the Kings after also playing for the Vancouver Grizzlies, Atlanta Hawks and Portland Trail Blazers. Shareef averaged 18.1 points per game in his career with 7.5 rebounds.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the OKC Thunder will host Russell Westbrook and the Sacramento Kings at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

The LA Lakers and Sacramento Kings crossed swords in a regular-season game at the Golden 1 Center on Sunday. The Lakers took to the court without their talisman, Luka Doncic, who was ruled out for at least a week with a couple of injuries. Meanwhile, both teams entered the contest on the back of confidence-boosting wins in their previous outing.
