The Commonwealth of Kentucky adopted the title Property Valuation Administrator (PVA) in place of the more commonly used county tax commissioner or tax assessor.

The PVA is required to physically inspect properties at least once every 4 years. If you’re in these areas, your assessments will be reviewed for the January 1, 2026 assessment year.

The Jefferson County PVA is responsible for applying a fair and equitable assessment to residential properties, commercial properties, and more.
