The biggest mistake I made before GLP-1 pancreatitis happened was not listening to my body. From the first injections I had symptoms that never really went away: nausea, strange stomach discomfort, low energy. But I kept hearing the same thing: that these symptoms are normal on GLP-1 and the body just needs time to adjust. So I ignored the signals and continued the injections. Looking back, I think my body was trying to tell me something much earlier.

Many people assume pancreatitis on GLP-1 would start with severe pain right away. That’s what I thought too. But in my case, it didn’t begin like an emergency. At first it felt like symptoms that many people describe as “normal side effects” on GLP-1: slower digestion, feeling full very quickly, occasional nausea, and a strange discomfort in the upper stomach. Nothing that looked like a medical emergency. Because of that, it’s easy to assume everything is just part of the medication adjusting in
