🏈On August 31, 1991 University of Houston quarterback David Klingler set an NCAA record with 6 touchdown passes in the 2nd quarter as the Cougars clobbered Louisiana Tech 73-3. Houston scored 73 unanswered points, 70 coming in the final three quarters. Klingler completed 36 of 57 passes for 510 yards and 9 touchdowns with no interceptions.
