🎀Victorian ball gown 🎀 Based on other pieces in the collection at @historycolorado I’d date this to the 1880s. Don’t quote me on that! That’s based on seeing the skirt draped over a hanger 😂 This Victorian ball gown is made of iridescent silk brocade. The brocade has both blue and gold silk, and the way it’s woven makes it appear either blue or gold depending on the angle you view it from. It makes the gown appear to shimmer. The bottom hem flounce is trimmed with real turquoise and silver! H
