A Kuiper Belt object, spotted by our Hubble Space Telescope and visited in a flyby by our New Horizons spacecraft was named this week. With consent from Powhatan Tribal elders and representatives, it is now officially known as "Arrokoth," a Native American term meaning “sky” in the Powhatan/Algonquian language.
